Understanding hospice
Comfort, dignity and quality of life.
Hospice care is specialized support that focuses on comfort, dignity and quality of life when someone is living with a life-limiting illness and treatment is no longer effective or desired.
Rather than focusing on curing an illness, hospice helps manage symptoms, relieve pain, and provide emotional and spiritual support for patients and families.
